Synopsis
Municipally owned venues and facilities are generally available to the public to book events, many of which may be divisive, controversial or offensive. Elizabeth Anderson and Michael Moll discuss what the role of the local government is in allowing for freedom of expression per the Charter and whether local governments can or should mitigate or prevent hate speech or discriminatory speech.
