About Luningning (Ning) Alcuitas-Imperial
Luningning (Ning) Alcuitas-Imperial is chair of the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal (WCAT). Since 2003, Ms. Alcuitas-Imperial has served in a variety of WCAT roles including vice chair, team leader and registrar. Ms. Alcuitas-Imperial’s other work experience includes the former Medical Review Panel Department of WorkSafeBC (assistant to the registrar), the Civil Resolution Tribunal (member) and the Mental Health Review Board (chair). Ms. Alcuitas-Imperial migrated to Canada from the Philippines as an infant, landing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with her parents. They then moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba. At the University of Manitoba, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree and her Juris Doctor degree. She moved to the Lower Mainland in 1995 and is grateful to live, work, garden, and play on the traditional territory of the h?n?q??min??m? speaking Musqueam people.
About Erin Frew
Erin Frew was appointed Chair to the PAAB in 2023 and was previously appointed as Vice Chair in 2016. She holds her Juris Doctor and her Bachelor of Science (Ecology) from the University of British Columbia. Previously she held positions as an arbitrator for the Residential Tenancy Branch, an associate lawyer in a national tax law firm, an intern assisting judges and legal officers at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and a review officer for WorkSafeBC. Erin is a director with the BC Council of Administrative Tribunals and currently is Chair of the Education Committee. Erin received an award in 2020 from BCCAT in recognition of her service.
About Jennifer Glougie
Jennifer Glougie (she/her) is the Chair of the BC Labour Relations Board and BC Employment Standards Tribunal. She holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. (Linguistics) from the University of British Columbia. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Victoria and was called to the bar for British Columbia in 2004. She joined the Labour Relations Board as a Vice-Chair in 2016. She held the position of Associate Chair between 2018 and 2022.
About Nancy Singh
Nancy Singh has worked for the British Columbia public service for almost 25 years. With an academic background in health policy and comparative government from McGill University, she has served the ministries of Labour, Advanced Education, Transportation, Office of Housing and Construction Standards, Health and Finance in various capacities, beginning as a research officer, and later as a manager and director on a number of cross-government policy, legislation and program development projects. Nancy has extensive experience in stakeholder and partner relations, as well as public sector performance management and budgeting acquired during her time with Treasury Board Staff. She enjoys bringing together people from different fields and life experiences to “think and do things differently” in the public policy realm, and always with the aim to collaboratively improve governance and services for British Columbians.
