ONLINE MEETING: Caring for Ourselves While Caring for Others: How to Unwind While our Work/Life are Intertwined
This meeting is being hosted by the Women Lawyers Forum - Vancouver Island Section.

Synopsis

This program will provide information and interaction as we explore the stressors of having our personal and professional lives mixing together and how to carve out space to take care of ourselves while still engaging with work and homelife. We will look at well-being, techniques of self care, checking in with ourselves and each other using self-compassion/compassion, mindfulness, and boundary building using organizational/time management skills.

This presentation will be given by Shari R. Pearlman (she/her), the newest member of BC Lawyer Assistance Program. Shari is a registered social worker and lawyer from Portland, Oregon. Shari worked at the Oregon Attorney Assistance Program for over 21 years. Prior to that she worked as a criminal defense lawyer. Shari has a passion for helping people and building community. She is very experienced at helping lawyers at life’s cross-roads, working with people on careers, relationship issues, personal crises, alcohol and substance use challenges and the impact of trauma. Shari enjoys assisting women lawyers find their voices and be at the helms of their careers. Shari has been a member of the Oregon Women Lawyers for more than 25 years and was on its’ executive board and was Chapter President of Queen’s Bench (Portland chapter).
