Estate Case Conference
Presented by the CBA Alberta Wills, Estates & Trusts North Section
On Demand. Originally presented on January 21, 2025.
In 2019, the Court of King’s Bench initiated a pilot project with Justices conducting Estate Early Intervention Conferences. These are intended to facilitate the orderly conduct and early resolution of litigation in estate matters. Those policies and procedures expand the options available to litigants. During this presentation, Justice Little will provide some advice on accessing this judicial procedure and provide some recommendations on when in an estate dispute it could be most helpful, what lawyers need to prepare to be most productive and some suggestions on how to use this process to best facilitate resolution for clients.
SPEAKER
Justice Little (Kings Bench Justice)
