
A Practical Guide to Preparing H&C Applications

Please join us for a webinar with Ronalee Carey, an immigration and refugee lawyer based in Ottawa. Ronalee will provide attendees with a practical guide to preparing applications for permanent residence based on humanitarian and compassionate considerations.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Who is eligible to apply for PR based on H&C considerations (inland and outside-Canada applications)
- Helping clients decide between a refugee claim and H&C application when risk of persecution is an issue
- Gathering supporting documents
- Preparing legal submissions
- Updating applications after submission
- Processing steps after submission, processing timeline, and the likelihood of success
- Determining an appropriate legal fee
Attendees will receive valuable case law summaries, precedents, other resources, and the PowerPoint slides.
