The Intersection of Privacy and Employment Law in 2024 Alberta
Presented by the CBA Alberta Privacy & Access South Section
On Demand. Originally presented on February 26, 2024.
This session offers a high-level review of key concepts in Canadian private-sector privacy law, with a focus on Alberta legislation, and how these core principles interact with today’s workplace issues and employment law in 2024. To explore the intersection between these two areas of law, there will be a brief exploration of workplace accommodation issues, employee monitoring in remote and office contexts, and the growth of biometrics in business, with an opportunity for a question-and-answer period to conclude the presentation.
