C. Yvonne Chenier KC, MBA, is a lawyer working in the philanthropic and social enterprise sectors, acting as general legal counsel and advising on planning, organizational, regulatory and governance matters. Yvonne has served as a trustee, director or founder of numerous organizations. She is co-founder and legal counsel to IntegralOrg, a charity and Law Society of Alberta-approved legal services provider, dedicated to educating and supporting other charities and not-for-profit organizations on legal, regulatory and other governance issues. She is actively involved in her professional associations and speaks frequently to various groups. Yvonne has been a member of the national executive of the Charities Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association for many years. She is a past Chair of the National Section and is presently the Co-Chair of the Alberta Branch Section Her articles have been published in numerous publications and she is currently an author for LexisNexis Practice Advisor Canada in the area of not-for-profit law. Yvonne is consistently named in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory* for excellence in Charity Law.
