Leah McDaniel will discuss the Supreme Court of Canada’s recent decision in Dickson v Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation, exploring the application of the Charter to Indigenous governments, the Court’s first analysis of the scope and application of s. 25 of the Charter, the intersection between Charter rights and Indigenous rights, and what happens when these rights conflict.
