
Immigration Judicial Reviews: Perspective of Department of Justice

The presenter will discuss various practices and considerations followed by Department of Justice (DOJ) counsel in conducting immigration judicial reviews at the Federal Court. She will particularly focus on negotiating consent and on appropriate court processes to effect settlements. Drawing on her extensive experience as government counsel, the presenter will also offer practice pointers on how to work with DOJ to achieve optimal outcomes for clients seeking recourse from adverse immigration decisions.
