Zoning Bylaw Renewal and its Impact on Commercial Properties in Edmonton
Presented by the CBA Alberta Commercial Property & Leasing North Section
On Demand. Originally presented on September 5, 2023.
The City of Edmonton is undertaking the first comprehensive renewal of the zoning bylaw in over 60 years to rethink how land development is regulated. If the proposed amendments are approved this fall, a new zoning bylaw and zoning map could come into effect by January 1, 2024. As an expert in the area of municipal law and past litigator with the City of Edmonton, Gwendolyn Stewart-Palmer will share her thoughts on the proposed changes to the zoning bylaw and how they may impact commercial property and development across the city.
