Psychological Assessments, Mental Health, and Immigration in Canada: Where we are Today
Psychological assessments play a significant role in various immigration pathways including inadmissibility to Canada, H&C applications, as well as refugee and protection matters. Join us as Dr. Terry Singh and Michael Greene walk us through the world of mental health from both medical and legal perspectives when it comes to those facing extremely complex immigration matters.
Dr. Terry Singh practices in the areas of clinical and forensic psychology and routinely participates as an expert witness in various levels of court including the Provincial Court and Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. Dr. Singh’s work touches on areas of criminality, family, and immigration law.
Michael Greene, K.C. has practiced immigration law for 30 years. Over the years Michael has instructed the Immigration and Refugee Law course at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law for many years and is an active member of the CBA national and provincial sections, having chaired the national section in 2000-2001.
